Well there’s all the normal tourist places and you can find tons of data on those at traveloregon.com and other places so I’ll skip the specific ones.

NE Oregon is a favorite, there’s wheat farms in Pendleton area, the Eagle Cap wilderness, Hells Canyon, and Wenaha is seldom photographed but a wild canyon land that might produce a couple nice photos. Anywhere in the cascades, columbia gorge, or coast will provide plenty to shoot. The streams of the coast range provide some really interesting features. As you know from Marc’s work, Steens mountain and the Alvord desert areas provide great features. Rome has the columns, heaven’t been there but unique features. Hart Mountain isn’t shot a lot and it’s just west of there, same goes for the Strawberry Wilderness.

A place I’ve always wanted to get into and still haven’t is Opal Creek, what beautiful water.

You might get some colors that early way up in the cascades but it’s a bit early for most other mountains in Oregon. Oregonfallfoliage will keep you in the fold.

There’s lots of covered bridges in Oregon. Oregon caves in SW Oregon (pair that with southern coast)

In the end you’ll find two weeks is about 1/10th the time you’d like, there’s really that much to shoot here!

Oregon has all climate zones except tropical. In 2002 Fields/Alvord only recorded 2.56 inches of rain. In contrast the coast range seems like it’s always raining. And everything in between…
